Spicy BBQ Lamb Mince Kebabs (gf)

smitsfoodblog- spicy BBQ lamb mince served These hot and spicy BBQ lamb mince kebabs are a twist on the standard; using “heady smoky” dry spices, then adding  mellow home grown and ground curry and kaffir lime leaf powders. (refer to the “How to make spices from scratch”).

Freshness is added with lemon juice, coriander leaves and spring onions.

Start – Ingredients
  • 1 kg lamb mince
  • 1/2 – 1 cup spring onions -chopped
  • 1/2 – 1 cup fresh coriander, leaves and stems – chopped
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika powder
  • 2-3 tsp roasted hot chili flakes
  • 1 tsp garam masala or Chinese five spice powder
  • 2 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 tsp curry leaf powder (optional)
  • 2 tsp kaffir lime leaf powder (optional)

Garnish

  • lemon cheeks
  • fresh coriander leaves
  • spring onions rings
